“HCG Presents… Yingko at the Shang
Discovering the Beauty of Ceramics”

Yingko… a land where Taiwan ceramics was founded… a land where 200 years of ceramic history paved its way to worldwide recognition.

             Last March 9, 2006, HCG brought this land to the Philippines to celebrate their 75 years of worldwide innovation and 10th anniversary in the country. Presented as Yingko at the Shang, the event was a gala of reminiscing, camaraderie and ceramic discovery.
            With columnist, Mr. Johnny Litton as master of ceremony and multi-talented performer, Ms. Isay Alvares as co-host, the HCG family and its corporate partners looked back at the historical pages of ceramics in the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The Philippine Ballet Theatre set history to life with their breath-taking performances. While HCG’s chosen actors shared their talents with their comic relief reenactment of HCG pioneers’ hardship, struggles and different adventures in aiming their goal to be the top-selling bathroom fixtures.

            Reliving their experiences with HCG, Ms. Judy Geregale, AVP for Admin & Finance; Mr. David Chang, Senior Sales Manager; Mr. Raymond Lin, former HPC President, Mr. Sam Chen,
former HPC President and currently Int’l Executive Officer; Mr. Tony Tiu, former HPC Group Chairman; Ms. Lynn Casiño, Assistant Marketing Manager and Mr. Steve Chien, HPC Vice President, respectively, recalled and went down to memory lane to share their inspirational thoughts.

            As for the finale, Mr. Steve Chien, Vice President, led the distribution of a ceramic musical instrument from Yingko named Ocarina. HCG ventured a long road to be able to attain its highest position of success today.  Not only did they hurdle the obstacles but they also became a catalyst to social responsibility and economic growth.  Ten years have made their goals a reality and HCG looks forward on more years of excellence and innovation in Bathroom Fixtures.
